- Less than a year after her husband’s death, on May 20, 1922, she married Vincent Barton, a railroad worker and recent widow and father to his young son.
- She passed away in September 1963, at age 70 and is buried in Fairview Cemetery, in Salida, Chaffee County, Colorado

- Born in Berrien County, MI on September 15, 1861
- His mother, Mary disappeared from his life when he was a young boy. It is unknown whether or not she passed away or left him with his father and older sister, Elizabeth (Lizzy). By the 1870 census, both he and his sister were living with other families and not their parents.
- On April 20, 1884, at age 23, he married his first wife Kitty Calimen in Berrien County. Less than 2 years later, Kitty died of Consumption at age 25.
- He married his 2nd wife, Minnie Etta Hathaway on August 26th 1888 in Niles, Berrien County, MI.
- He and Minnie Etta had 7 children together including a baby boy who was born premature1908 and did not live
- He was a farmer his entire life
- In both the 1910 and 1920 US Federal Census records, his wife Minnie Etta and all his children are listed as Mulatto
- On November 4th, 1933 at age 73, he married Martha Bailey age 72 in McBain, Missaukee County, MI
- In 1940, at age 79, he was listed a widow with his daughter Pearl and son-in-law, James Speers living in his household in Riverside, Missaukee County, MI
- He passed away from Coronary Thrombosis on February 20, 1943, at age 83 and is buried in Mt View Cemetery in McBain, Missaukee County, MI

- In 1860, at age 30, he was living in Plymouth, Wayne County, Michigan as a farmer with his wife Mary and their daughter Elizabeth aged 9 months.
- It is unknown what happened to his wife, Mary after the birth of their son Franklin September1861 as no records of her can be found.
- In 1970, he was living alone working as a stage hostler at the Defield House in Berrien Springs.
- In 1880, was working as a farm laborer and living with his brother Napoleon and his family in Plymouth, Wayne County, MI.
- He passed away from prostate cancer on June 22, 1898, at age 68 and is buried in Cleon Cemetery in Cleon, Manistee County, MI.

- On June 12, 1826, he married Hannah Bunting in Trenton, New Jersey and they had 6 children together.
- He and his family moved to Michigan prior to the birth of his son Napoleon in September of 1843.
- On January 28, 1891, at age 88, he passed away in Northville, Wayne County, MI. He is buried beside his wife in the Waterford Cemetery in Northville Township in Wayne County, MI.

- On June 12, 1826, she married Enoch Hughes in Trenton, New Jersey and they had 6 children together.
- On August 13, 1892, just one month shy of her 92nd birthday, she passed away in Nankin Township, MI. She is buried beside her husband in the Waterford Cemetery in Northville Township in Wayne County, MI.

- At age 20, she was living in Plymouth, Wayne County with her husband Oliver D Hughes and daughter, Elizabeth aged 9 months. Her occupation was listed as housekeeper on the 1860 Census.
- After the birth of her son in September of 1860, no other records have been found of her.
- In 1970, her granddaughter Mary Park Vogel wrote a book entitled “And the Stage Coach Tipped Over” where her name is listed as Mary Owen (not Mary Bacon).

- In 1888, at age 18, she married Franklin Pierce Hughes in Berrien County, MI.
- Over a span of 15 years, she and Frank had 7 children including a baby boy who was born prematurely in 1908 and did not live.
- In both the 1910 and 1920 US Census Records she and her children are listed as Mulatto.
- She passed away on January 28, 1932, at age 61 in Missaukee County from Diabetes Mellitus, a condition that according to death record, she had for 10 years. She is buried in Mount View Cemetery in McBain, Missaukee County, MI.
